Weekly Announcements
Week of 09/12/2025

• The PTG is seeking donations (monetary or otherwise) to go toward a prize calendar for the month of November. Anyone wishing to donate, please submit/bring your donations to the school before Friday, September 26th. Tickets for the calendar will go on sale starting in October for $10 per ticket. Winners will be drawn daily in November. 

• There is a scheduled Early Release Day for all students on Wednesday, September 17th for a Teacher Workshop. Students will be dismissed at 11:30am on this day.

• School Picture Day will be on Monday, September 29th at 8:30am. Please order online with Lifetouch or return forms to the office.

• There will be Cross Country Practice on Tuesday, September 16th from 2:30-3:30pm. Practice dates after next week TBA via the school FB page. The first meet is next week on Thursday (see below).

• Don’t forget to check with your primary care physician for the status of your child’s sports physical. Physicals are good for one calendar year. 

• Uniforms should be ready for students before the first cross country meet. They are provided to students free of charge thanks to the generosity of local Alexander businesses! Shirt sizes have already been collected from students. 

• The Cross Country North Division Schedule is as follows (note the changes to 10/2 and 10/9):

09/18 @ Calais Waterfront
09/25 @ Alexander School (looking for volunteers to help with this meet)
10/02 @ Indian Township School
10/09 @ Princeton School
10/16 @ Indian Township School (Divisional Races)
10/22 @ Calais Moosehorn Headquarters (League Championship Races)

• All meets start at 4:00pm. Bus departure schedule will be posted before the first meet.

Welcome back for another amazing year everyone!

• There will be Cross Country Practice (Grades 2-8) on Monday, September 8th from 2:30-3:30pm and Tuesday, September 16th from 2:30-3:30pm. Practice dates after those weeks TBA.

• Students must returned signed permission forms to be eligible for practices and meets. Don’t forget to check with your primary care physician for the status of your child’s sports physical. Physicals are good for one calendar year. 

• Uniforms are provided to students free of charge thanks to the generosity of local Alexander businesses! Shirt sizes have already been collected from students.
