Once again AES Students are participating in the 'Bikes for Books' program sponsored by the St. Croix Lodge. Students K-8 will be challenged to read as many age-appropriate books as possible through the month of March. For each book read, students' names will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win brand-new bikes! Bikes are available for boys and girls in each classroom. Bikes are donated by the St. Croix Lodge.
Basketball News:
o On Monday, February 26 th the boy’s will be having practice from 2:30-4:00. o On Wednesday, February 28 th will be a home game at AES. Girl’s games starts at 5:30 with the boy’s following at 6:30. o On Thursday, March 1 st there will be a second home game at AES. Girl’s game starts at 5:30 with the boy’s at 6:30. Detective Fowler of the Maine State Police visited grades 6-8 today to give a presentation on forensics and evidence collection. Students learned about the job of an Evidence Response Technician (ERT) for the State Police while also going hands-on and collecting fingerprint and DNA samples. Thank you to Det. The results are in: Alexander Elementary placed 5th in the Winter Kids Winter Games!
As a result, AES will receive snow sleds and snow shoes for our students to use during the school day! Congratulations and thank you to all students, parents, and staff for your hard work and participation! |
